  • Summary: At about $50 this refurbished DVD recorder is a great alternative to a VCR and a complement to higher end DVD recorders, especially for a second TV/cable box. I couldn't tell it wasn't new, and it does a fine job of recording on +RW disks. I do a lot of recording and have two DVD +R recorders with hard drives and a -R without a hard drive. This model doesn't have all the features of even the non-hard drive, but does journeyman work.

  • Summary: I've only had the unit hooked up for a couple of weeks, but I am enormously pleased by the functionality, the ease of use and the intuitive design and controls. It is easy to record, re-record, erase single recordings or erase the entire disc. The playback is gorgeous and were it not labeled as refurbished, I would never know. It looks like a brand new, pristine unit. It has multiple recording speeds (2 hrs, 2.5 hrs, 3 hrs, 4 hrs, 6 hrs, and 1 hr in High Quality mode).

  • Summary: This recorder and player was very easy to connect to my old TV. I also connected to my VHS so I was able to copy my old tapes to DVD at any speed I wanted to. The quality of the recording in 6 hours was perfect. When I watched a recorded tv show I was able to skip the commercials as well. This Recorder is a great buy at a fantastic price.

  • Summary: Overall, it is a good recorder - easy to set up, easy to program, etc. However, only certain brands of blank DVD can be used with it. For instance Fuji works fine, but it will not accept Memorex. Once you have figured out which blank discs you can use, it works fine with no other problems.

  • Summary: Great deal for the price. Had a little difficulty setting up through my cable box, but was finally able to get it to record. Be sure to get DVD RW disks if you want to record multiple showa at different times (not back to back).

  • Summary: I recommend this DVD Recorder very highly. It's performance exceeded my expectations by a lot. Looking at the recorded signal really surprised me, the picture is sharp, the colors true, sound is excellent. The recorded Video waveform also surprised me. I previously had a Sony DVD Recorder which cost $400, the recorded waveform was a flat constant rate.

  • Summary: The first unit I received was defective; it would not show images in color. I followed the instructions to obtain a replacement, which did arrive promptly and met all my expectations. I was able to easily set up and use the unit; it performs flawlessly. I rate this REFURBISHED item as highly as possible, not only because it is clearly the best value obtainable anywhere for a DVR recorder-player, but because the difficulty I experienced with the defective unit I first...

  • Summary: I understand that this was a refurbished product but it did not work from the minute I receiveid it. Also, the Instruction booklet was Zeroxed and the ink was so messed up that you cannot read the instructions. This is the last refurb. that I buy. I did not save that much and the hassle was not worth the savings.
