  • Summary: Lightly used and it still broke within 2.5 months. It started not showing the picture and sound. I had to shut it off and restart it and then it would do it again. Very disappointed with Magnavox. How about producing some of this stuff right here in the good old USA???

  • Summary: We purchased this unit from Walmart 7 months ago. It has served very well and conveniently. We also have an LG Blu-Ray player which we rarely use since we only have a few blu-ray discs and we have to rearrange our cords every time we use it as it requires the same cords as other equipment. In the last couple of months we have been noticing an increase in skipping etc. from the Magnavox and today we decided to try the disc in our LG player.

  • Summary: VHS tapes do not go in properly and frequently get jammed. DVD's work, but take a long time to load. Rewinding tapes takes forever....very slow. The product is made very cheap and has never worked like a player should from the time I bought it. You would be better off spending money on a better brand or buying separate VCR and DVD players by another name brand that are cheap. You can buy a pretty cheap Sony DVD player and probably pick up a cheap VHS player.

  • Summary: It is average and useful for its intended purpose of playing the many VHS tapes we still have and taping an occassional TV show I'm going to miss. I learned I had to buy another component for $30 to make it work with the digital signal from our cable company to our old TV tho and wasn't too happy about that. It is easy to use and a good value for it's price.

  • Summary: The notation on the box says "Tuner not Included: A cable box, satellite box, or other tuner source is required for recording live television". I have DirectTV, plus was not needing to record live TV (I do this with my DirectTV box), so thought it was good to go. Spent all day trying to play a DVD. Called the manufacuturer and DirectTV, and unless you have the red, yellow, white RCA connections on your TV, you won't be able to play DVDs.

  • Summary: I am totally pleased with this product. Easy to program and does a good job of taping with a cable box.
