Summary: I bought 3 of these for 3 different rooms they all work great with no problems, DVD Player doesn't make any noticeable noise so you only hear the movie. Lots of features such as chapter and Title Replay AB Repeat, rewinds and fast forwards very fast, search mode, I love this DVD Player.
Summary: Hooked this right up when it was received. Works great and have had no problems at all with it since received. Was skeptical because of the price but this little player has not let us down. Definitely a good buy, would recommend to others.
They should have called this model the DSKIP100MW8B

Summary: I bought this DVD player to play DVDs, but I ended up using my Playstation 2 as a DVD player, and the Playstation 2 was a god compared to this piece of junk. It was like comparing Michael Jordan to Jud Bucheler, or Robert Deniro to Kato Kaelin. You may have a brand new DVD without a single scratch, yet this machine CANNOT play the entire DVD movie without getting to a point where it starts skipping and freezing up.
Summary: I can't even remember how long I've had this but it has to be around 2-3 years now. This works better than any other player I've owned & has never given me any grief. And my household gives this thing a workout! It gets used anywhere from 3-10 hours a day. I love the fact that it goes into standby mode if you have it paused for a long time, and then it shuts itself off if it goes for an even longer amount without any use.
Summary: I BOUGHT THIS DVD Player from an amazon seller. first ofallit wasn't in the original box as i thought it would be, then i saw i came with no extra attatchments such as the jacks to connect in to the t.v. Then to top it off after i had everything connected and set up, the DVD Player didn't work at all. it shows the bluedvd screen but will not load or work to save someones life. i do not reccomend this seller to any buyer.
Summary: I grabbed this for about $30 because it seemed perfect for my dorm room. It's a small, basic, simple, DVD player which was all I needed. I used it in my room at home only on about 3 or 4 occasions tops, and have it with me in my dorm again. Now, however, it produces no video. I've tried 3 sets of different component cables, plugged them into every last hole, and even tried every combination knowing full well that sticking the video cable into the audio hole doesn't work.
Summary: Since our experience with DVD players is that they last about a year, we quit buying state of the art examples. This is our latest replacement and it's now in mid third year. It deserves multiple stars for that reason alone. It takes up very little space and there are no bells and whistles, but it plays DVDs beautifully. The fast forward and reverse features work just fine for us and my only complaint is that the remote is not very intuitive.
Summary: I'm using this DVD player to listen to CDs, connected to a vintage Electro-Voice FM receiver. Both units are very compact, and while I'd have preferred the silver-finish Magnavox, the black one is just the right size and -- with the remote control -- perfect for the purpose. Great sound in a petite package.
Summary: I picked this up to have a player in my bedroom that I can use for a non-critical audio/video system, for leaving a music CD playing on repeat all night long, and watching movies late at night when I'm chilling in the bedroom. So far, it's played everything I've thrown at it: DVD's, DVD+R's, CD's, CD-R's, and an MP3 disc but with some slight audio weirdness on the MP3 disc - not sure what that was about.
Excerpt: I purchased this as a replacement for an older non-working DVD player. It seemed like a good deal at first, since it relatively cheap(around $30). It's pretty much a standard DVD player, with the standard RCA jacks to hook-up to tvs. It advertises that it can upscale, although I didn't notice much of a difference.
