Summary: Works great if all you want is to watch Netflix. Also nice for watching your tube. The web browsing is tedious at best since typing is not the easiest thing to do with this device and browsing is very sluggish.
Summary: First things first. LG released this product unfinished. They will never admit that but they did. This product has been abandoned by LG and will never recieve any more updates. LG will never admit this either but it is true so consider this if you decide to buy one. Why does this matter? For one, the online services will stop working if the services they are connecting to ever make any changes to their service.
Summary: When I ordered the product I had read the reviews; which to say the least scared me. When I received the product my worst fears had been confirmed. The remote that came with this is so hard to use. It took hours just to log on to Youtube, and it didn't come with HuluPlus which we had just ordered. We bought it to watch HuluPlus, so this really disappointed us. I started playing youtube and it seems all the videos work pretty well.
the mouse feature sucks..rest is ok. Needs resetting often

Summary: It's OK. But that is about it. The CD is not much help. My device stops recognising Netflix. the first time it automatically set-up and I forgot to note the activation code. Now it seems I have to reenter the actiavtion code and it is not to be found on the manual or CD that came along with the ST box. I am trying to call the customer care to find out...so far no luck..I hate this bit!
Summary: Having an LG Smart 42" TV, the spare 22" TV seems rather underwhelming, so I welcomed buying this little box which purports to convert any TV into a smart TV. This box is wi-fi or wired and wi-fi suited me for the small TV's location. The connection to the TV is by HDMI lead. It will also take a memory stick in the USB provided. The interface will cope with BBC iPlayer, YouTube and Picasa amongst other apps which are downloadable.
Summary: Gives me i player access. Does stream my photo content from nas. However clunky interface. Other apps are a waste of time. I am sure there are better options out there. Update jan 2013 - LG have now killed iplayer functionality with a firmware 'update'. Go elsewhere.
Summary: rate this 3 star because you can upgrade your tv into internet tv, you can play some streaming channels in this box. but comparing this to different brand it is totally behind because lack of support.
Summary: I was about to purchase this item but it looks like app development is at a bit of an impasse. I emailed customer support and they have informed my that there is no plans for 4OD or ITV Iplayer apps - so don't hold your breath if you are holding out for these. I will continue to wait for an online content player that provides all the main UK providers.
Summary: Some background first. I needed a streamer for my own collection of movies and home videos, but I didn't like the idea of a AppleTV because I didn't want to leave a computer running. My videos are stored on a NAS, and they are various formats from AVIs to MPeg4 (H.264). The good points are : Easy to setup Found all NAS on my network Media link (for PLEX) works OK. Great for streaming AVIs.
