Summary: The rest of the features compared to ROKU 2 XS; ROKU will not play avi files, but it will play mp4 and mkv. This unit plays avi movies, almost kept it but the other issues were not as strong as ROKU the content is out dates even with the update.
Summary: Set up out of the box is a snap. Register on your TV or online, confirm you email address, and your account is live. That's where the ease ends. You have to submit a credit card to access Premium Apps. Hulu Plus is nowhere to be found tho its logo is splashed all over LG's marketing for the device.
Summary: This is a good start, but it needs a lot of work. When I received my Smart TV Upgrader, and I immediately had to upgrade the software. If, when you upgrade your software, you receive the "Upgrade Fail" message, just know that repeating the exercise several times will eventually yield success.
Summary: ........after trying for hours, and having been in contact with LG techs, I've not been able to make this product work -- LG ST600 Smart TV Upgrader with Digital Streaming and Internet Services.
Summary: I bought it only for browser-based entertainment; so if you are planning to use it for the sources that come through Apps (Neflix, Hulu, etc.) - ignore this review First, the good part. Easy to set up, including wireless connectivity. Small, and looks really nice in the living room.
Summary: As others have stated, I too feel this device was released a little too soon. I bought it mainly for MLB.TV and Hulu Plus. So needless to say I was disappointed when Hulu Plus was not in fact available for the ST600.
Summary: I like the product don't get me wrong. I have internet connection of 17 down and 2 up. Netflix is great on it. Setup was easy. I think the only real usuable apps are the weather and Netflix. All the other services are other movie channels that are pay per view and radio services.
Summary: I cannot review the units operational capability because I never got as far as setting it up. It appears you need the unit in the same room as your router and TV, something I could not do, I may have got this incorrect but the set up of this device is not for 'normal' knowledge levels like mine.
