Lexicon RT-20 Universal Audio/Video Player
1 September 2007
Summary: Will the Lexicon RT-20 be obsolete tomorrow? Maybe, but
probably not as a music player. Given the market penetration of such comparatively lo-fi
competitors as the Apple iPod and its ilk, I’m not sure there will be a headlong rush
away from CD to Blu-ray or HD-DVD for music recordings. Then again, that’s what the
cassette makers thought when the Compact Disc was launched.
Excerpt: Introduction When Lexicon first introduced the RT-10 Universal Disc Player in 2003, it was considered by many an ambitious project. Subsequently, the Proceed Audio brand was discontinued and the Harman Specialty Group (HSG) was formed. Harman International formed HSG on the cornerstone of three key brands: Mark Levinson, Lexicon and Revel.
