TONY P., Newegg

  • Pros: None. I owned three of them. They all died quick.
  • Cons: Check the Amaz reviews on any JVC dual deck. Horrendous quality. Pure junk. Most die within weeks or months. Many state it is the worst piece of electronics they ever bought. Many said they would never buy a JVC product again. I said that and I did! I had three of them. They all locked up. They c...

Waste of Money

Annette D., Newegg

  • Summary: I bought this recorder to replace another JVC recorder that I owned. The old one died after about 2 yrs of moderate use. It stopped recognizing discs of all kinds. • Cons: -Burned discs didn't work on other DVD players. -Stopped recognizing mass produced DVDs after less than 2 months. -Stopped recognizing blank DVDs at 3 months. -Failed at finalizing discs at 3 months.

  • Pros: It performs as stated. I've had no problems converting tapes and/or reading the multiple varioius forms of DVD's out there including those burned on various pc's with numerous codecs.
  • Cons: I wish this unit had compulink. It's very frustrating that JVC would not include compulink in all their products!
