  • Summary: I bought this unit because even though I only have a (recently aquired) 720p 42" plasma TV, I wanted to "future proof" my purchase by getting something that could upscale to 1080p.
  • Pros: upscaling, automatic VCR tracking adjustment, simpleVCR->DVD dubbing, single HDMI connection to TV for both DVD and VCR
  • Cons: buzzes when playing some/few cheaply manufactured DVDs (but I blame those DVDs more than the player -- same problem observed with the same DVDs in one computer DVD player)
