  • Summary: Was very noisy while playing. DVD drive failed right out of warranty. Refuses to stay closed. Cost to repair too expensive. Cheaper getting a Blu-Ray player.

  • Summary: I bought this unit on recommendation of Cnet's review of the DVD-1930. I think the HD upscaling is much better than my PS3 on just about every scene.
  • Pros: Very good upscaling. Even though I have a PS3 I think I would keep buying DVDs with this player given the price and limited titles of Blu-Ray media.
  • Cons: The load tray is flimsier than most laptops. A little pricey but I got mine for $599.
