Summary: Gee, this is written....six <?> years after I purchased it; I take care of my things and it's still going strong. Some of the buttons are a little touchy, but all in all it is very user friendly. In a grid down, a small solar panel would make your disks< oh, you got " cloud " ?? Oh well...I'm old fashioned >....available.
Coby changed the player, but it still has the same model number
28 March 2014
Summary: I currently own 3 of these for my business. I use them because they are one of only a few that have a video input jack. I needed to buy another one so I put in the same model number as my other ones to find it on the site. When I received it I found out the it no longer has a video input jack, just an output jack.
Summary: We had a simple problem of the ac adapters breaking within a month of purchase. Every phone number and email address for Coby was no longer in service. Even the emails on their own website and the warranty phone numbers listed in the DVD player's documentation. Now we have no way to charge our players. Hopefully we can find a universal charger that will work for them.
Summary: The internet website clearly stated that this device runs off of 2 AAA batteries. However, When it arrived, I was dismayed to read that it operates off of rechargeable batteries. The whole point of my ordering it was that in the event of a power outage, it would be a source of entertainment. Very disappointed.
Summary: Terrible purchase. Audio didn't work on this DVD player from the moment I opened the box. We bought it to entertain the little guy during a long drive and had to go to Walmart to buy one last minute. The purchase from Walmart was less expensive, came with better accessories, a bigger picture, and a longer battery life. Don't purchase this product if you don't want a hassle.
Summary: I ordered this personal DVD player over all the others because I wanted that replaceable AAA battery feature, NOT the built-in rechargeable I received. We like to take a DVD player out to places where there are no wall outlets (like in our camper) and I was very excited to find one that would last for as long as I was willing to pack a bunch of batteries for. (The built-ins ALWAYS seem to go dead in the last 30 minutes of a movie!) I am disappointed, to say the least.
