Zhu Zhu Pets

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: I was pretty excited when Zhu Zhu Pets arrived here at Family Friendly Gaming. Why? Well Zhu Zhu Pets was the Toy Fair's 2009 Toy of the Year. This Nintendo DS game is also based on hamsters. Long time readers will fondly remember our Hamsterz Life review, as well as our review score appearing on the cover art of said game. Hamsters have done well with Family Friendly Gaming, so I was instantly expecting great things from Zhu Zhu Pets.

Review: Zhu Zhu Pets: Kung Zhu (Nintendo DS)

Diehard GameFAN
12 March 2011
  • Summary: Zhu Zhu Pets: Kung Zhu is your typical licensed title for the DS. It is short, generic, and not worth the price of admission. It isn’t overtly bad or anything, but there isn’t any reason for anyone to play it unless they are a ridiculously huge fan of the toy series. Even then, wait until this significantly drops down in price. Everyone else, stay away. There’s nothing for you here.

Fav toy hamsters zip through mazes and act as virtual pets.

Common Sense Media
31 October 2010
  • Summary: Parents need to know that Zhu Zhu Pets is the first video game based on the popular battery-powered hamsters toys of the same name. The game stays true to the play patterns of the actual toy by providing nurturing as well as adventuring gameplay. The latter that takes place inside of fast moving mazes. Think of this game as Nintendogs meets Super Monkey Ball .

Upscale Baby
5 September 2009
  • Excerpt: I’m an admitted toy snob. I don’t buy a ton of “mainstream” toys for my kids. I do, however, allow my three year old to watch television. She has just recently become aware that the toys advertised in commercials exist out there in the world and can be purchased. Recently she fell in love with Zhu Zhu Pets: little motorized hamsters that have all kinds of fun accessories. I have to admit that I thought they were pretty neat, too, however gimmicky.

Zhu Zhu Pets: Lustige Waldtiere Review

Nintendo-Online
2 October 2013

Zhu Zhu Pets: Kung Zhu

gamingxp.com
21 August 2013

Zhu Zhu Pets: Kung ZHU

nintendo-lan.de
4 May 2011
