Reviews and Problems with Yu-Gi-Oh! GX SPIRIT CALLER
Showing 1-10 of 19
29 September 2008
Summary: As a fan of the anime and manga the game is based on, it's pretty good. There's a good amount of different characters to challenge, and the card selection is pretty decent. Though, still lacking compared to the newest games, but it's understandable. For fans of the GX anime, I would recommend this game.
Summary: I got this game because I loved the show and this game is great. The game follows the storyline of the show very well. The game play is awesome and easy to learn. The battle menu, card selection screen, and everything is great. There are times that I wish to skip the battle animation, but I just had to sit through it, there's no other way. Also, the only other thing I didn't like was the random chance of getting special calls from spirits.
Summary: I liked playing the game and getting introduced to both characters i knew and new ones too. I also enjoyed the duels and constructing multiple decks and improving them as I acquired new cards.
Summary: I love this game really. I love yu-gi-oh over all and really im a bg fan of most of their games. But this game while it was fun and had very cool events and you can even make friends and track them to duel them which is a very nice thing. I didn't like the sorta time limits there was ("Woah its time to go back to the dorm!") And some of the charaters are just plain impossible to beat. (ok not impossible but realllly hard) Ima person who loves hard duels so I like it.
Summary: The manual should be much bigger and it should tell you more. It should tell you how many playing characters there are, how the controls work. The game it's self is awesome. Plus it should clearly state on the box that it is not an online only game. Also there should be a strategy guide for this game.
Excerpt: It is a very good game, but like other turn based or spin-off games it does get repetitive. for example; ()When you start a new game they should give random starter decks. ()The duels and strategies are to alike for each character. () etc..... The story mode of this follows that of "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" the Animation. Based on the Original "Yu-Gi-Oh!" Series. You play as a young duelist just coming to "Duel Academy", You duel many opponents through-out the story mode.
Pros: Good turn based system, Good Graphics and Sound for DS
Cons: Repetitive and can get boring if played to long
Excerpt: YuGiOh GX Spirit Caller is the latest in the YuGiOh series of games. You are a new student at the YuGiOh academy with friends Jaden and Syrus, in the lowly Red dorm. You attend lessons and take tests but spend most of your time duelling your fellow students and playing shadow games. You start with a basic deck and can only play against fellow red dorm students.
Pros: Combines random duels with a good storyline
Cons: The story duels can be very difficult to win
