Summary: Very nice game, though I haven't gotten very far in it yet. Fire Emblem like in battlestyle with a twist and the plot seems pretty nice. Not too fond of the sin system, but maybe I just haven't gotten the hang of it yet.
Summary: What caught my attention about this game is the mechanism of the Destiny Plume. You may use the destiny plume presented to you at the beginning of the game to grant insane power to one of your characters, but at the end of battle, that character dies forever, but leaves your main character with a powerful ability to use for the rest of the game. I see mechanisms like this a fair bit in video games, although almost invariably, you want to simply avoid using them.
Awesome battle system,, good music and great story. A must have if you like the Valkyrie profile series

Summary: If you like the Valkyrie Profile series, this is the title your must get! It is a nice SRPG with some nice battle system. The fact that you can scarifies your allies and choose different paths is amazing. It def adds to the replay value. The first play through could be difficult if you don't know what you are doing.
Summary: Like all of the Valkyrie Profile games, it has a good story and great character development (although not quite up to the level of Lenneth- which was extraordinary). That being said, this game is very hard. Hour after hour, try after try, just to beat certain battles. The difficulty definately takes away from the enjoyment of the game.
Summary: As a Huge VP series fan this is a game that I coudn't wait to get my hands on. The Pros: - I have thoroughly enjoyed the fresh prespective of trying to kill Lenneth valkyrie instead of fighting on her side. - The Sin factor actually transformed battles from your typical strategy battles to something way more enjoyable.
Some definite improvements, but also dumbed down in ways

Summary: I'm writing just after having beaten covenant plume for the first time. I was a huge fan of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for the PSP, and was extremely excited to play this new addition to the game. This review is written as a bit of a comparison to the PSP version of Lenneth. First the new strengths: You can actually skip some of the blabbering during the special attacks. I'm pretty sure a LOT of people complained before, and they heard our voices.
Summary: This game is a lot of fun but it is very difficult. It took me a few hours to get the hang of the battle system and by the time I did I realized I needed to start over in order to have any chance of beating the game. I've played about 15 hours worth so far and it's still a lot of fun. One wrong decision can result in a Game Over, so every move counts.
Summary: Game Completion note: Finished main story, got the "best" ending. Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume begins well. Meaning that you go through a tutorial battle, then accidentally kill your best friend. That's not a spoiler; t happens in like the second battle. And so the story goes. You control Wyl, a young man (of course) attempting to kill the Valkyrie who took his father's soul on the field of battle.
