  • Summary: It's like having a complete crossword puzzle book in your small Nintendo. Good puzzles and very, very portable. Puzzles are just hard enough.

Great Crosswords

Noel Koller, Amazon
16 September 2012
  • Summary: These puzzles are fun and challenging. There are over 100 puzzles. You can do it in pencil or pen. Settings will allow you to choose if you want help. What would be nice for this game is for it to have dictionary installed. Also sometimes when I am doing the in the pen and it will stop allowing letters and you have to save and turn the ds of and on again.

A good pick for grown up gamers.

C. Cassidy, Amazon
31 May 2011
  • Summary: I picked this up as one of my first few games when I bought my Nintendo DS XL. I have always enjoyed crosswords, so this seemed an obvious pick for me. It is exactly what I expected. A simple interface is utilized to to solve crossword puzzles in the same format as is typical in the newspaper. I also own two other crossword DS games. Crosswords DS and New York Times Crosswords . USA Today Crossword Challenge falls in the middle as far as difficulty.

Last Resort

Colleen L12, Amazon
7 January 2011
  • Summary: The previous reviews say it all. The concept of the game is great, but the interface is awful. Silly me had to buy it anyway, figuring I would adapt to the controls. Don't even bother with the handwriting entry. The only advantage to that feature is that you can see more of the puzzle. If you have OCD for crossword puzzles, and you have played all your other games, then this can be your "last resort" fix.

Not sure what the problem is...

Ray Slocumb "Green Day fan", Amazon
14 April 2010
  • Summary: I have read the reviews on this game(both of the listings) and a common theme seems to be that the control -- particularly the handwriting recognition -- is bad. I have solved several of the puzzles, and haven't experienced any problems. Other than mistaking V's as L's, a problem due to my sloppy handwriting, the control is great. The way you scroll through the clues is a bit on the odd side, but I quickly adapted to it.

Hard and challenging.

Heather Martin, Amazon
25 January 2010
  • Summary: I am so not good at crossword puzzles so I found this game extremely difficult for me. But I let a friend use it and they whizzed right through it. So it is a great game just was not on my level.

Not What I Expected...

M. Pilipovich "Dida", Amazon
12 July 2009
  • Summary: I was really excited about getting the game. I really enjoy crossword puzzles...The game is hard to get used to. The whole puzzle doesn't fit on the screen, so you are constantly going back and forth from different sections... The grid isn't numbered making it difficult to know exactly where you are at in the puzzle... To me, it is more stressful than relaxing, personally I would stick to the puzzles in newspapers and books...
