Summary: If you don't expect too much (next-gen graphics, Mario Golf characterizations/minigames), this is a very well-made straightforward golf game. Reviews on the net have been mostly lukewarm, choosing to focus on what the game is NOT as opposed to what it is. Don't be fooled by writeups like that. Why should a game be judged based on a promise it never made?
Summary: When it comes to golf games on the DS, you unfortunately aren't going to find any great ones. Your three best options are Tiger 05, Tiger 08 and True Swing Golf. As an owner of all three, I can tell you that True Swing Golf is the best game out of the three in terms of gameplay, mechanics, graphics, and physics. But it has its fair share of issues. During standard gameplay, True Swing Golf is pretty good.
Summary: I bought this game for my son. I played with it first to judge for myself. It is an interesting game, hard to play in the car at first, lots of slicing, I like it though. Good mix of challenges. My six year old son loves it, that's good for me.
Summary: This is a great golf game. I wasn't especting it to be as good as it is due to the price, but it is very good and quite detailed. Easy to learn and then there are degrees of dificulty as you move up. Excellent game!
