List All 2 PricesWhen it comes to eating nachos, the Senor loves combining those tasty, brittle chips with some mango salsa because it's the perfect combination of sweet and spicy, orange and yellow, and whole bunch of other crap that would make this sentence better than it is. But Nintendo's is no mango salsa. I mean, it's decent enough, but it's also green and brown, boring and bland, and overshadowed by all of the titles. Read more
Developer – T&E Software Publisher - Nintendo Features Wireless DS Single-Card Download Play Wireless DS Multi-Card Play Touch Screen Compatible Some of my most memorable video golf gaming moments have been with a few of Nintendo’s handheld consoles. Mario Golf is what sticks out most in my mind, from the GBC version to the GBA version. I have been eagerly awaiting a DS version of this classic game but there has been no talk of it being in development. Read more
Can a mish-mash title that steals from many different genres succeed in being better than the sum of its parts? Borderlands asks this question by blatantly borrowing the theme from Fallout , mechanic elements from Mass Effect , multiplayer aspects from Team Fortress 2 and character progression from World of Warcraft , all while being a solid first-person-shooter with role-playing characteristics. The DS has two golf games: EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour that was released near the launch of the system, and True Swing Golf, published by Nintendo about a year later. Although Tiger Woods PGA Tour showed potential for golf games on the DS, True Swing Golf worked everything from the ground up rather than follow Tiger's system. Was the result a total bomb, or a game to be enjoyed by golf fans everywhere? Read on to find out. Read more
I have been messing with various golf simulations on consoles, handhelds, and computers for around fifteen years and when it comes down to it, I’ve never played a more realistic simulation of golf to date. The smart use of the stylus to simulate both the backswing and follow through in smashing the ball with your club (stylus) was simply genius bringing a refreshing breath of air into the ever growing common way golf has been handled. However, while the gameplay is excellent, the graphics are butt-ugly. This is where Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 wins-out unfortunately. While certainly clean for the most part, there are times where you can see muddy textures and blocky looking trees and local environments. On the plus side though, it does run on a solid framerate and it certainly looks better than a lot of other 3D titles hitting the DS market. Read more
For a game from a publisher and a developer that have both done some interesting and accomplished things with the game of golf, True Swing comes out surprisingly flat. Last year's Tiger Woods PGA Tour for the DS was admittedly a flawed product, but there's still no one good reason to pick up True Swing Golf instead of, or even in addition to, Tiger. Read more
QuickView Good: Touch swing gameplay Bad: Graphics, lack of extras, presentation No, really, it's cool: Touch swing gameplay I certainly appreciate the amount of titles for the DS that build the core gameplay around the use of the stylus. Although it was once questioned, there is now no doubt that the DS has positioned itself away from the GBA as a third pillar. Read more

I bought this game for my son. I played with it first to judge for myself. It is an interesting game, hard to play in the car at first, lots of slicing, I like it though. Good mix of challenges. My six year old son loves it, that's good for me. Read more or see product
This game has been great for scratching my golf itch during the cold winter months. Make sure you have a screen protector installed; the repeated and fast swipes of the stylus across the touch screen can leave marks quickly. Read more
This review is for the Nintendo DS game, True Swing Golf, developed by T&E Soft and published by Nintendo. True Swing Golf is a golf game, where you can play on fifteen different courses and different terrains. Golf games require easy to use controls, so that you can start to learn how to play the game and control your shots without too much practice, but also you need to be able to improve so that you get better as time goes on.
