Game is Great, Shipping Needs Some Work
Janelle Thorpe, Amazon
4 June 2013
Summary: I purchased this game for my son, knowing that the game box was not going to be included. The price was great ($3.90). The shipping was actually listed for more than the game itself ($3.99), but the total price was still good so I went ahead with the order. I was then quite surprised to see a regular, #10 envelope with a $.46 stamp, hand-addressed to me arrive in my mailbox. I opened it to find the game cartridge wrapped in a piece of computer paper & newspaper.
Summary: Transformers: Decepticons was a great game, especially since it shows the game/story from the "bad guys" perspective. An open-ended sandbox with missions available to progress the game, it was quite enjoyable save for the few cases where I hit a mission that I could never seem to beat and it took me reading a walk through to actually beat them. So if you like an open sandbox, you'll love it.
Summary: Transformers: Decepticons is a neat game, if difficult. Story: A variation on the movie, the story of Transformers: Decepticons is pretty neat. Various plot elements (e.g. Barricade chasing Bumblebee) are in the movie as well as the game, while others (e.g. Megatron's weapons chip being stolen) are not in the movie, but are in the game. Though the plot bounces around a bit, it's still pretty neat.
Summary: I bought this game for my 11-yr old. His review is: "I like this game because you can fly, drive & fight w/Autobots. Good amount of action, somewhat challenging which makes it fun. Graphics are pretty good. Has "challenge missions" & 23 "story missions" that are based on the movie. CONS: Limited area in which to move the character around in. Good game to get!
Summary: If you have sons you will really appreciate the 1/2 hour of peace and quiet this game provides...Boys aged 7-14 will appreciate the graphics and all the action. Parents will enjoy the (largely) non-violent games and how engaged children are in the stories the game creates. Set a time limit on game playing and let the kids enjoy this one!
