Summary: This is a fairly enjoyable game, where you race against other cars in time trials, the tracks are not racing circuits as they have obstacles or jumps to do as well. The handling and graphics are reasonable. There is also a track editor so you can design your own tracks haven't tried this yet but the idea sounds good.
Summary: Probably most people will be looking at this game on the DS because they recognise it from the PC version and figure it was so much fun on the PC it should surely be an instant hit on the DS. Well at least that's how I came to greet this title. I will just say that the DS has done some almost ground breaking stuff, and though the PSP is far superior in it's graphical abilities the DS more than makes up for that fact with the pure range of games it has, both the...
Summary: Good fun once I got into it, but I was initially dissappointed to find that it's not a "proper" racing game. All you do is time trials - you race against the ghosts of previously recorded runs on that track - you just go through the other cars, you don't collide - it's just like doing time trial mode on mario kart or something.
Summary: I do enjoy the function to create your own track, but I was a bit disappointed when I played the first few tracks and they took approximately a minute to finish as hey were so short. They do get longer and more difficult as you progress but there isn't that bigger choice of cars either. Mayber I expect too much but I would have liked a bit more depth with regards cars and tracks. Maybe they shodn't have bothered with the track maker and added more depth.
Summary: Having enjoyed Trackmania on PC, I thought I'd try out the DS version. It's absolutely fantastic and, I must warn you, very addictive! For the size of the screen, the graphics are superb. The levels are quite difficult - a bit more than the PC version, I found - but someone with more dexterity than me should cope better! My 8 year old son fares better than me. Being able to build your own tracks is a bonus too. You have to earn your 'coppers' to do so, so watch out!
Summary: Well implemented, but the game starts off with too many very short point to points. The same goes for the PC version (There's a free version of that if you're interested - TM Nations Forever) But it is enjoyable. The track editor isn't the easiest to use. Overall its decent enough.
Summary: I have spent hours on this game creating tracks and racing on them. i have bought new cars and tracks. this game is challenging if you do the pre-loaded tracks but not impossible. if you are thinking of buying this game, buy it. i think it is worth £25-£30 easily. for ages between 7yrs-14yrs old. graphics aren't bad either. BUY IT!!!!!!
