Summary: This game has quite a challenge to it. Trying to get all new blueprints for the new toys requires patience and skill in some cases. Other than that its pretty simple and its not to difficult to set the right price for the toys.
Summary: I buy lots of games for my niece and i thought that she would like to try this one, but after playing it myself I can see why she put it down. The game play is very slow and the instructions aren't very clear; the task of being able to sell enough toys to improve your small toyshop and move on in the game seems nearly impossible; wouldn't recommend this game to anyone else.
Summary: The game is very interesting and keeps you wanting to play. At least until you beat it once or twice. Playing it any more than that does not release new content or style into the game so it gets a bit repetitive and boring. But I still recommend it, especially if you can regift it later.
Summary: I thought the idea of this game sounded fun.......taking over a toy store and building the business back up. Looked on here AFTER I tried it out to find out if other people found it to be as boring as I did (shame on me for buying without reading the reviews!!). I bought this for $6.29 yesterday and I plan to excange it today at our local game store. Thank GOD they give you 7 days to return used games!!! This game had a lot of instructions.
Summary: I always wanted to buy Toy Shop..because I love like time management games. It was expensive in the past but finally bought it used on Amazon. I read one good review on the game and decided to try it. I had to start over like 3 different times for the shop lost money. I am in my second year in a different store and can't make the toys fast enough to sell with all the customers running in and out. Sometimes I don't open the store until 12 pm or so..
Summary: The premise of the game is that a pair of kids inherits a toy shop and they have to build it up and make big profits within a certain amount of time or they won't be able to keep it. This sounds like it has potential for fun. Unfortunately, it really doesn't work out that way. The game centers on the making and selling of toys, with an occasional excursion into other parts of town to talk to people.
Summary: I too thought this looked like a fun, interesting game. On the contrary, it was the most frustrating, boring game I've bought. I found it impossible to have money on hand to make toys, and when I finally did have money, the kid failed at building it and I lost the money. The kid's failure to build the toys was one of the most frustrating parts of the game- even when I was supposed to be at 75% accuracy, he still failed more than he succeeded at the building.
Summary: I too thought this would be a fun game and was very disappointed in it. I even had my son try it out to see if I just wasn't understanding how to play it (since he's great at the game world), but he also couldn't understand it. It turned out to be a flop in our house, a waste of money! I wish I waited to read these other reviews before buying it... next new game I buy I'll come here first and read the reviews before I buy any new game.
