So Midway wants to make us all Touchmasters. Er, wait, that sounds almost disturbing. Do I really want to go out in public and describe myself as a "touch master"? And wait, what if someone wants prove that I've got the magic touch? What if it's a girl and it turns out to be a trap and I get maced and I can never get my eyesight back? Nah, maybe I worry too much. Read more

    • Online connectivity to leaderboards; a pretty good amount of mini-games to play
    • $10 overpriced; most of the games end too quickly; can be found in any bar machine for 25 cents a pop.

Everyone who’s visited a bar or an arcade in recent years knows that lone machine off in the deepest, dankest corner that only the most bored patron will touch. The bar-rats won’t touch it because the pretty colors do just horrible things to the stomach. Gamers won’t touch it, because chances are, they’ve got most of the same games sitting on their computer at home. Hell, chances are, their parents have the same games sitting on their computer at home. Read more

Basically, TouchMaster is a bunch of mini games that will keep you entertained for a few minutes here and there and I am not surprised that they were originally designed to suck down quarters at a bar. I think they would do that well, but once you have the option to play them over and over again for a longer period of time you realize that there is not a lot of depth to them. Read more

The first Chibi-Robo went, for the most part, under the radar. The GameCube title was a niche hit with endearing characters and addictive gameplay. So, for the sequel, Nintendo wanted to reach a larger audience, so they released it the same week as Phantom Hourglass and made it only available at Wal-Mart. Read more

    • Nice variety of games that are well suited for playing on the go, Touch-screen controls work well, Ability to upload scores online is a nice addition.
    • No Photo Hunt!, All online aspects are more cumbersome than they should be, Better in-game instructions would have been nice.

Compiling over 20 mini-games together, Midway has created a DS cart that nearly everyone can get some enjoyment out of. Everything from puzzlers to word games to card games is included in Touchmaster, all faithful to the name of the game. Additionally, Midway included quite a bit of online / sharing functions that toss in a competitive level of play. The games are presented in a simple menu format, all with player setup functions listed to the side. Read more

It’s inevitable that More TouchMaster will be compared to 42 All-Time Classics, which unfortunately is where it falls down; several of the games on that compilation appear on More TouchMaster, but the former comes with more games and Internet play as well. I see the two games complementing each other though, and if you enjoyed 42 All-Time Classics then you’ll certainly enjoy this, as long as you remember that it has half the number of games. Read more
