Summary: I love the Simpsons and really enjoyed the version for the Xbox 360, so when I saw it on sale at my local retail store I though why not? Man, was I stupid. This version (DS), in my opinion has to be the worst version I have played. I thought it was quite entertaining and, of course, quite challenging, in the beginning. However, once the novelty wore off I started getting a headache from the constant repetitious dialogue. I opted actually to play the game without sound.
Summary: This game isn't that great. It violates my one big pet peeve - repetition of the same challenge over and over if you don't get it right the first time. The best part about this game is the dialogue, but even that gets repetitive when you've repeated a level about 25 times. Also, it feels like the characters don't respond well to the controller, which means you are pressing those tiny DS buttons really hard and your hands get bad cramps.
Excerpt: "...would be as good as the family guy game was for PlayStation 2 but was incredibly underwhelmed by it. If it wasn't the Simpson's characters it would have just been a run of the mill DS game where you complete the level next level complete that next level and so on. I have the Playstation 2 version of this game which was slightly better but nothing special either in all honesty. The graphics are typical to the DS and the game was either too easy in ...
Excerpt: The Simpsons DS game has to be one of the most boring DS games I have ever tried. I gave it plenty of chances and kept on with it, in the hope that it would get more interesting but it really didn't. The concept of the game begins when the Simpson family realise that they are living in a video game and each member of the family discovers their own unique game power.

Excerpt: Love watching the Simpsons, so when i saw this game in the shop it certainly caught my eye! The image on the front, shows homer running away from a host of characters including the mayer and a chocolate rabbit, so i though hmm this going to be random fun! I was greatly dissapointed im afraid, this is a big let down from the Simpsons and im surprised they'd let such a poor game out on sale!
Excerpt: "...I really did not like the Simpsons Game at all. I found it far too basic, with chunky graphics, sloppy key controls (having to use the touch screen now and again, randomly, but mainly using a random array of buttons), horrendous sound, and generally not a patch at all on the Playstation Portable version of the game which my husband has. I thought that after about two levels the game play got really repetitive and really frustrating with the irritating ...
If you can get it very cheap and are a huge Simpsons fan try it, otherwise don't bother.

Excerpt: This is only the second Simpsons game I have ever played, the first being the dire Bart v's The Space Mutants way back when. I was hoping that the standard would have improved, and to a certain extent it has, though I feel it could have been done a lot better. This plays like a pretty bog standard platform game, though each of the characters has their own special powers which allow the to reach places or do things that other characters can't.
