Summary: Used to play this game in computer class in the late 80's early 90's. Have fond memories of it and a trucker game! Great revamp of a classic game. Good game play and graphics. For older children 8 and up who can comfortably read and trouble shoot. Excellent inclusion of the history of the Oregon Trail.
Summary: I bought this for my daughter's 9th Birthday. I must admit I bought it because I wanted to play it as it brought back childhood memories. She thinks the game is fun and enjoys it. She has had it for a few months now and still plays it.
Summary: It is a new spin on the game which I played as a kid. I haven't played the game since I was in elementary school so I had to check out what they had done with it. It was a surprise. You can actually steer your wagon now but it is hard to stop to meet the people sometimes. I think this game is awesome with what they have add to it, but I prefer the original.
Summary: When I was a kid, I had 1996 Oregon Trail on my computer. This was always one of our favorite games. I also played the 3rd edition when I was younger, which included fishing. The major difference with this game is that it includes a new element where you need to steer the wagon to avoid hitting obstacles, which damage your wagon and oxen. This adds a little more action to the game.
Summary: I got this game today, and after playing for almost an hour and a half, I have to say it's pretty neat and nice! I bought this game because I love the Oregon Trail so I thought it would be good to get the 3DS version of the game. The game didn't come out exactly like I thought it would be, but it's pretty great! Shipping was fast and I pretty much like the game! Glad I got it. Thank you!
Summary: My history buff son LOVES this game as does my math/science/athletic son. They're having so much fun on this journey and I think they're addicted to playing it more than their other DS games that aren't as interactive (and educational).
