Summary: I haven't played the original Legend of Kage, but I did after I played this sequel (I'll make a review of that later). Anyway, I was expected some old-school 16-bit-ish action when I saw screenshots for the game. Being the gamer I am, I jumped straight into it. This game seems like it would've been an incredibly awesome one. The graphics are lush and detailed, the music rocks, the combat was excellent and felt great, and the storyline is epic!
Summary: It's not a great game, but if you're into platformers and like samurai/ninja kinda motif in general... ah what the heck right? The music is pretty good, the jumping kinda isn't. It's one of the few games on my shelf that's purely a guilty pleasure; I can't defend it, but I was willing to buy it. (sadly, I put it on the shelf only to realize I already own this game. I'm an idiot.
