Game Freaks 365
11 June 2007
  • Excerpt: Tank Beat is the first Nintendo DS game to focus solely on action-packed tank battles. O3 Entertainment’s game packs credentials like Nintendo Wi-Fi Connectivity, 3D graphics, and stylus control mechanics but it doesn’t deliver in the more important areas of video game design.

  • Cons: • No multiplayer opponents to be found., • Craptastic graphics., • Even worse sound., • Short campaign.

Tank Beat Review

GameSpot
4 June 2007
  • Excerpt: Tank Beat isn't much fun. There's very little to it, and what is there is bland, and simplistic. If there's one feat developer MileStone managed to pull off, it's how dull it managed to make the act of blowing up tanks. That might be a fascinating accomplishment, but it makes for an utter bore of a game. Playing Tank Beat is exactly as exciting as looking at this screenshot. The main mode in Tank Beat is the story mode.
  • Pros: You can take on up to four players via Nintendo Wi-Fi...
  • Cons: ...though there is almost no one online to play with, Simple gameplay gets old in about two seconds, Poor implementation of pathing mechanisms
