Summary: I've been a fan of the Syberia games for quite awhile now, and after recently getting a Nintendo DSi XL thought that this should be one of the first "casual" games that I should try on it. Sadly the adaptation for the Nintendo platform is not up to quality of the PC or Xbox version. The repetitive music, the animation frames of Kate running instead of actually navigating a 3D environment and having to read dialogue, in addition to some minor portions of the game missing...
Summary: I had actually only played Syberia 2 before starting this DS port of the original game. Since the original Syberia isn't backwards compatible on the Xbox 360, I was forced to pick up where the first one left off and attempt to catch myself up with the previous events. Even being thrown into a world/story I wasn't familiar with I enjoyed it thoroughly and found it to be a well made adventure game with an excellent narrative.
Summary: I would recommend the PC version over the DS version. She moves very slow from one screen to the next, and a lot of the humorous dialog and one-liners (and a lot of the wonderful voice acting) is gone. The beautiful environments look horribly pixellated. They could have made a great port that took the adventure genre a step forward on the DS, but instead they were so literal about it that it feels like a drab pixel-hunt with a stylus.
Summary: ne met pas en valeur la nintendo DS. jeux imprécis.on ne sait pas toujours ou toucher l'écran tactile pour débloquer les énigmes.en plus les couleurs ne sont pas terribles.Le jeu PC est nettement mieux.
