Summary: Hoo-boy, was this disappointing. I made the mistake of picking this up at my local used game store. I love Star Trek, so I thought I'd try it. I wish I hadn't wasted my store credit. 1. It doesn't actually involve any of the recognizable ships or characters from the Star Trek shows. It doesn't say that it does, I think, but it seems like it would have been smarter of them to use something people would recognize. 2.
Summary: Ok so I am a GIANT fan of Star Trek so when I heard about this game I was like got to get it!! Well I got it about 1 week ago and it and I was hooked on it for about 3 days. I mean when you get it its awesome but the gameplay just gets dull. Dont get it unless you are 100% sure you will want this game.
Summary: I was looking forward to this game for my DS, and was already aware of some of the negative reviews. However, I looked at some screenshots and videos of gameplay online, and didn't think too much of it. Unfortunately, the gameplay does indeed leave much to be desired. Similar to my review of 'Lord of the Rings: The Third Age,' 'ST: Tactical Assault' is not challenging in a fun way...it is challenging in the way that it stacks up unrealistic odds for the gamer.
Summary: Much of the actual function of the game has already been documented and reviewed, so I will be more brief. The game play is based on communicating, scanning, warping, battle, and upgrades. Communicating and Scanning are basically the same thing. It's a time sink but if you skip through it quickly, you might miss some detail you need. It's rare, but you never know, so you waste time reading pointless chatter.
