  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: SpiderFoF is deserving of everything bad those many previews wrote about it. It's lazy, boring and not as cool as it seems to think. It's sure to be a big hit as a Christmas present for all you little tykes out there, so just be glad that it doesn't last too long so you don't have to fake liking it for an age.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe

Auracore MediaWorks

  • Summary: Spidey's second title this year? Our licensed game-sense is tingling.
  • Pros: Kid-friendly design throughout; fluid combat animations; co-op can be fun; settings are simple but well-designed; some token humor.
  • Cons: One of the most repetitive games you'll ever play; not enough boss battles; secondary characters aren't as fun as Spider-Man; recycled enemy types and situations; environment geometry doesn't change much or enable creative combat.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe

  • Excerpt: Having just recently reviewed the Wii version of Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, I was quite interested to see how the game would be shrunk down to fit into the confines of the DS hardware. After playing through the game on Nintendo’s handheld I would have to say that like the bigger home console versions of this game there are both good and bad points to Spidey's latest adventure.

The slick presentation kicks off the story with an alien invasion in New York City, home of the illustrious Peter Parker. Zipped up to S.H.E.I.L.D.
