Summary: I had this for the PSP for my older son. My 6 year old now plays it on his DS. It's great to say, sure you can play your DS, as long as its Spelling Challenge ... It has really improved his reading ability.
Summary: Unless you need work on your spelling, this game is a waste of your time. This game is flat out bad for your money. Warn your mom not to buy this. My Mom did buy this and didn't know how BAD this game really was.
Summary: I got this for my first grader and it's just to hard. It's not helpful for those just learning because 1) It doesn't say the word. No audible to go with the visual. 2) No matter what age you input, it starts you at a 2nd or even 3rd grade level. Yet it offers age 1. Stupid. 3) It doesn't start with simple words (at, pat, bat, it, bit, sit, etc.) that follow how early readers are learning phonetically.
Summary: My son is in the first grade, reads at third grade level, but is just learning to spell. Even the lowest levels are a little hard for him right now. We are going to to a different one (Scripps).
Summary: I've always been a fan of Word Games so I was excited when I got hold of this game. The games are easy enough but there are various challenges that one must overcome. Trying to get use to US English was something I had to overcome as am used to British English but it was a minor setback. If one is a fan of Word Games, Spelling Challenges would be one to add to the collection.
