Summary: don't let the comercials fool you. what you saw on the comercials is the wii version of the game. the wii version had forward, back, and side scroling (back and fourth) but the DS version is just back and fourth side scroling. it is the same thing as sonic rush games. it is also too short. when I got this game I beat it in 8 hours. if you want fun side scroling sonic games for the DS get sonic rush or sonic rush adventure but not this.
Summary: What keeps this game from deserving 5 stars you might ask? Let's see. The game itself was not as fun as the fans portray it to be. This game suffers in many areas. For starters, although you might not like to accept it, this game is not very original. It makes a lot of references to games like Super Mario Galaxy for example. Even one of the developers acknowledged that they designed it similair to Mario games in order to appeal to Mario fans. Don't believe me?
Summary: My stepson is 10 years old and is crazy about Sonic, so I ordered online and had walmart send game to his home in Waterloo, Iowa. I wanted to surprise him. I thought I was giving him a cool gift, but when I spoke to him a few days after Christmas, he told me he had "beaten" the game that it was too easy, so now it's just laying around in his room somewhere.
Summary: I use to play sonic on the old sega system and enjoyed a lot. I assumed I would enjoy this game as well but I didn't take something into consideration... Sonic is a fast movement game, he rolls in and runs at super speeds at time and on a small screen like the nintendo DS it just doesn't work for me. Also, if you have any motion sickness issues this game is not for you.
