Summary: My only complaint is that there is a bit of emulator lag, even though I'm playing on a 3DS XL. Sonic 1 is the worst offender, but the others seem to have occasional slowdowns too. The Sonic 3 3D sphere stages are very jittery. I remember the later 3D sphere stages would lag down on the Genesis, so I can't imagine them running very well on the the DS or 3DS.
Summary: I purchased this game for my 5 year old son. He loves this game. It has some of the games I remember playing myself as a child. Some levels are easy and some are challenging for him. In all this was a great purchase for him.
Summary: Most of you gamers probably know these Sonic titles by heart when you take notice of this Nintendo DS "greatest hits" collection. It's a slightly different feel on another platform, yet the added bonus is that you can use your stylus to do a "quicksave". (On Sonic 3, you still have the autosave feature so you really don't need the stylus to access that particular game.) Sonic 1 is what started the whole Sega Genesis craze.
Summary: Do you remember playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Genesis when you were 4/5/6 years old and loved the game? Remember always falling into the purple stuff in Chemical Plant Zone? Remember playing the start of the Sonic series and having to go somewhere and not being able to take the game with you? Thanks to SEGA that dream has been achieved... This game has accomplished very well.
