Summary: My 6 year old absolutley loves the SKATE series for XBOX, so I picked this up for him, he played it for about 5 minutes and told me it sucks. Apparently you have to touch the screen to skate and jump, hes not into that, he likes a free play.
Summary: I bought this game for my son and he thinks it is really fun.It is a little frustating but also fun.He thinks the wii Skate it is better (he has that one too)because it is not on a small screen. He also likes to skateboard and pretends the skater is him.He is 10 years old.
Summary: I purchased this game for my Nephew for Christmas - he loves it! I was so happy beacuse I found the game late and was not sure if I would get it before Christmas. The game arrived on Christmas Eve - I was very, very happy!! I would purchase from again.
Pros: 1. I'm a big fan of character customization, and this game is surrounded by your character and customizing him/her. 2. A whole new way to skate on the DS using"Flick-It" controls. 3. Better graphics than other DS skate games.
Cons: 1. "Flick-It" controls may take a while to get used to if you are a Tony Hawk game fan. 2. Female characters have very limited choices when it comes down to hair and face options.
Summary: I would say buy this game even if your not much of a fan of skating games. it is just so much fun with the touch screen and all that junk. my personal favorite is challenging people online to skate challenges, it is a very neat game, if you have a ds buy this GAME!!
Summary: Pretty cool game, with an innovative control scheme. Leaves the Tony Hawk games far, far behind. You use the touch screen and stylus to make motions on a skate deck icon, which in turn executes tricks on the main screen. This takes some getting use to, and at times can be frustrating, but overall makes for an addictive skate game.
Summary: Overall Skate It for the Nintendo DS is a very entertaining game. The control scheme is great but its poor recognition ends up in many blotched tricks. Its online play is pretty nice but it could use some work. The one thing that kept me coming back was the level editor. You are placed in a warehouse and can build your own skateparks. One thing thuogh, is that it has very repetitive music and annoying soundtracks but thankfully you can turn them off but leave the SFX.
Pros: Challenging, Easy to learn, Fun To Play, Gameplay, Multiplayer
Cons: Glitchy response, Poor Graphics, Poor Instructions, Repetitive music
