Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked (Nintendo 3DS)

Diehard GameFAN
2 December 2011
  • Summary: : Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is a solid update to an excellent game, and features some solid additions that absolutely make this the definitive version of the game… but if you’ve spent your time and money on the original, it’s hard to justify another forty bucks on what’s offered here.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked (3DS) - Review

VGChartz
11 October 2011
  • Excerpt: Before I start reviewing Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked , I should admit one thing about myself. This was the first time I left the scholastic confines of Persona 3 and Persona 4 to see what else the Shin Megami Tensei series has to offer. Thusly, playing through this game felt like a culture shock to me, even though so much of it was familiar.

The Devil (Survivor) is in the Details

GameCritics.com
6 October 2011
  • Conclusion: So God imposed different languages on humanity as punishment for not living virtuously? Mind blown.
  • Pros: Fusing a kick-ass demon after 30 minutes of planning and multiple steps.
  • Cons: The voice actress for Midori has as much appeal as listening to chalkboard scratching.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked

Auracore MediaWorks

  • Summary: A port with new plot, resolution, and voice acting, but a port nonetheless.
  • Pros: Same interesting Devil Survivor combat and story; eighth day is an interesting addendum to the plot.
  • Cons: Not enough to warrant a repurchase; voice acting can become quite annoying in some cases.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked Review (3DS)

Gamers Daily News
30 August 2011
  • Summary: Despite a few unusually rough stages, Devil Survivor Overclocked adds enough new content to stand out as the definitive edition of a great tactical RPG. It’s debatable as to whether players familiar with the original will want to pay into this again, but everyone else that enjoys this genre is strongly encouraged to pick up Overclocked.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked

gamereactor.es
4 November 2013
