  • Summary: The game had a lot of okay puzzles but it was really really short. Totally not worth the price I paid.

Extremly dissatisfied

  • Summary: I am new at the DS games, have enjoyed the previous games. This one gave me motion sickness, could not figure out what I was looking for. No separate/aside games, as in others. Being new, gave it to someone who has had the DS a long time, they could not get through it. A complete waste of money.

  • Summary: Dont waste your money on this game. Its way to short for the price. I bought it the first day it came out and paid $30.00 for it, I completed the game that same day.

Disappointing graphics

K. Spears, Amazon
12 August 2009
  • Summary: The game is too easy to cheat, the graphics seem a bit too low tech, the voice-overs don't follow the script on the game {minor annoyance} and the game doesn't keep you engaged. The final scene after you solve the "mystery" leaves an opening for perhaps another game, but I wouldn't purchase it.

Sherlock Holmes, nintendo DS disappointing

  • Summary: I couldn't wait for this game to be released, I expected it to be alot like other favorites, Hotel Dusk, Professor Layton. Sad to say, I am disappointed so far, and I haven't gotten too far. The graphics are ok, the quality of searching around the room somewhat difficult. I wanted to ask questions of "Dreamcatcher" right away, because it seemed like I should have been able to read signs on the statues in the main room.

Not what I was expecting; could have been better.

Carrie Mac "Carrie", Amazon

  • Summary: I was disappointed in this game. I had it on pre-order for months and was excited to get it, hoping it would be in line with games like "Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars" or "Professor Layton". This did not match those games. The stylus does not seem to work well in some of the rooms and the voice-over is obtrusive (and does not match the text on the screen, which was still ok). But the point of the mission is vague.

Expected a LOT more!!

  • Summary: The concept sounds absolutely great. The execution, however, is lacking. Things that were nice: the few puzzles in there were challenging and entertaining. The story line was pretty interesting (you know, your typical Sherlock Holmes mystery) and the graphics were done pretty well. They provide you with an ample amount of clues if you get stuck and if you need it, these clues can pretty much tell you exactly what to do. Things I didn't like: the game is so short.

  • Summary: It did not live up to the described puzzel and action play. I was very disappointed in this game and didn't find it enjoyable for any legth of time. I wish I had read the other reviews before I bought it. Don't waste your money.

Too short, not worth the money

Chemerfian, Amazon
17 July 2009
  • Summary: While the game was enjoyable (not "can't put it down" or anything, but an enjoyable diversion) it was TOO SHORT! The game only has 4 levels! I completed the whole thing in just a few hours, and there aren't even any mini-games or other extras that you can play. Once the main game is over, that's it; you're done. The gameplay itself was easy enough to follow and some of the puzzles did require some thought, which was nice.

Very disappointed.

  • Summary: This game has a good concept and is challenging if you don't read all of the clues that spell out everything you need to do but I was able to finish it in 3 nights after my kids went to bed. Way too much money to pay for a game that you can finish in 3 evenings.
