Summary: My daugther wanted this game and hasn't put it down since it arrived. I can say that it helps her to spell words so there is an element of education involved so I don't feel "mommy guilt" at letting her play her Nintendo for long periods!
Summary: My son desperately wanted to buy this game for his DS. I am anti video games and highly discouraged him not to. Yet he has his own money and so he won out. I have been highly satisfied with the purchase. I like that it teaches spelling and rewards one's spelling attempts with results. My son has been asking me the spelling of difficult words and getting more involved with the spelling world.
Summary: I ordered this game to go with my 9yo son's first DS. I debated between Scribblenauts and Scribblenauts 2, but ultimately went with the original. It is a HUGE hit! He loves finding ways to solve the challenge. It gives you the option to replay a challenge, earning more points by being more creative. In the beginning we were asked how do you spell -water or -boat, now we're asked how do you spell -pteradactyl or -triceratops.
Summary: My daughter purchased this game through Amazon at a great, discounted price and absolutely loves it! She is 6 and enjoys the spelling & creativity this game has to offer. It's worth the money!
Summary: This is one of those you 'don't have to feel guilty as a mom for letting your kid play video games' game! It helps begging readers and writers hone their spelling skills, and allows kids to use their imagination to problem solve. We will definately be getting the second version of this!
Summary: I bought this for my 6 year old daughter and she loves it! I knew that she would have trouble spelling words, but I figured it might be good practice. The great thing is that if she spells it generally right then the game tries to guess what you meant to spell and it's fairly accurate. I have played it with her a lot and I even enjoy playing it. It's fun to come up with new ways to finish levels and see all the things you can make appear.
