TIme to remember those strange 2 lettered words...
16 March 2009
Excerpt: "...been years since I've played Scrabble and I really fancied playing a game of it. However I kept holding off and waiting for the price to fall, luckily I recently recieved this as a gift, and it was worth the wait! Scrabble 2007 DS is just like the real scrabble game. The board is the same and has those double word scores, triple letter scores and the wonderful triple word scores ;) From the main menu you can play a quick game which is a single ...
Conclusion: This is a great game, Single player is quite hard when moving to the harder stages whilst the CPU make words using all 7 tiles, you find yourself with Z,X,Q,Y. But thats the fun of Scrabble, The Multi-player is great and has caused arguements regarding word that exist and don't just like the fun of playing the board game.
Conclusion: I'm usually rubbish at the board game! But i love this game! I only bought it cause it was like a bargain, £9.99!! And i didnt have too many games at the time! Its a very good game, Quite addictive actually! Its suitable for all ages, and theres a child mode which doesnt allow any rude words to be used! Mind you if i were that young i wouldnt want to be playing scrabble! But yep, definately reccommend it!
Conclusion: This game works well on DS and is perfect for holidays and the like. Essentially it plays like the real game, although it seems easier to input seemingly made-up words (ie, I entered the letters "IP" and it registered as a word") so younger players could cheat themselves if they don't understand the meaning.
Conclusion: I bought this game thinking oh this'll be a laugh, i was so wrong.....this game is impossible, the A.I. on this game makes thinks even harder, they come out with impossible words that no-one would know, another thing is words that exist the game doesn't recognise like how is ying a word and not yang?!?!?! It bogles the mind......
Conclusion: This is without a doubt the best DS game (well, until the 2009 edition comes out!). The minigames make it even more enjoyable that traditional scrabble, and help to build up your speed. To all of the people who moan about "made-up words" that don't appear in their English Dictionery - one suggestion, try looking in the Scrabble Dictionary instead!!!!!!!!!! Ignore all of the bad reviews, this game is well worth the money.
