RF2 great game
13 November 2013
Summary: I am a Mom and I love this game. My kids and I used to play Harvest Moon when they were growing up and we loved those games. My oldest daughter 25 has still a Harvest Moon game for the WI and her and my youngest daugher 14 still play this game. I decided after playing 2 Etrian Odyssey games to buy Rune Factory and I started with number 2. I figured Harvest Moon and a bit of monster batteling of Etrian Odyssey should make a great game.
Summary: The game is surpisingly easy for a Harvest moon/ rune factory game. You build relationships very fast threw request which makes you able to marry people with in the first year. The graphics are okay I've seen better. I love the request system and I like most of the characters.
Summary: I loved Rune Factory and it seems I'm finding the sequel just as well. I haven't beat it yet because my brother took it so that he could play it, but I'm finding this fresh twist in the typical Rune Factory playing highly enjoyable.
Summary: While run factory 2 allows for a generational gameplay, it prevents you from having most of the actual gameplay until you reach this second generation... Which to be honest takes a rather long time, and with very few locations to go during this first generation is a major drawback. Once you overcome this the gameplay is actually fairly decent, but I personally lost interest fairly quickly.
Good for people who didn't like the original Harvest Moon series

Summary: I played RF2 before playing RF, so my point of view might be slightly different, but I can definitely see how gameplay controls have improved from the original to the sequel. There's a good mix of building skills, farming, dating sim, raising monster friends, and dungeon crawling. As someone who's always hated the Harvest Moon series, Rune Factory is definitely an improvement.
Summary: i'm not done with it yet, but so far i like it quite a bit. i played rune factory 3 first so i knew what i was getting into. my only mini-gripes: a couple of the bosses so far have been pretty easy. that could still change though, as i'm not done yet. also, if there are a lot of characters populating the screen at once, the game slows a lot. not too often does this occur, just a thing i think others might have said as well. aside from that, i've enjoyed it.
