Conclusion: Overall, there is much to recommend in this handheld conversion, but if you’ve played the PC version already, bear in mind that it’s only a port. As fun a game as it is on the DS, I can’t imagine anyone going out of their way to own it on both platforms.
Excerpt: Runaway: The Dream of the Turtle for the DS is pretty much a direct port from the PC version. And what do you know: my superior – who has the uncanny knack for effortlessly articulating his thoughts in such an eloquent manner – reviewed it earlier this year . Now take a look at it and go away.
Conclusion: Runaway 2 cannot be ignored by any true fan of adventures, problem-solving or puzzle-based gaming. And as an adaptation of a PC game, it is one of the best I have seen so far, both for graphics and for controls.
Conclusion: Runaway offers a testing environment to frustrate your grey matter. And although the it's host to some of the most illogical, testing puzzles on the DS, the major plus is that it wraps itself up in a wonderfully realised universe with a lot of great video
Pros: Sumptuous CGI work and plenty of it, Point and click controls are handled well
Cons: Illogical, frustrating puzzles are too frequent, Lack of a quality soundtrack seriously hurts the presentation
Conclusion: Follow Brian and Gina and meet dozens of eccentric characters while completing wacky puzzles and exploring more than one hundred places at the four corners of the globe with a flick of the stylus! A unique and exciting adventure is at your fingertips!
