  • Summary: Fan or foe of the Resident Evil series, you have to admit that it changed the face of gaming forever. Along with franchised games like Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, and Alone in the Dark "the term "survival horror" became a way to describe what was not only a fad in gaming but that was also a marketing force.

  • Summary: Ive only played it once and i wasnt a fan of the controls. although they are like the console version, it takes some getting used to on a handheld. of course most kids will pick it right up as I did when I was a lot younger. Ill save this one for when im really bored.

  • Summary: The controls are hard to learn at first, but you get use to it. I found the controls didnt work as well as other games for the DS. Maybe it was just me. All in all, it can be a fun game but hard to learn at first.

  • Summary: Americans are so lucky. You guys tend to get all the movies, games and DVD's before us Brits do. Take Animal Crossing DS for example, you get it in December 2005, we get it in March 2006. Luckily I managed to get hold of a copy of Resident Evil DS as soon as it was released in the states but the question is... am I glad I did? The answer is that Im not sure.

What is this?

  • Summary: First things first. Resident evil is awesome. I have every game in the series and have played them all to death. This is the game that started it all and it is an absolute classic. The acting is hilariously awful, the monsters suitably grotesque and the music very creepy. So why only three stars? Well to be perfectly honest, it's just not scary on DS.

  • Excerpt: "...gaming with the release of Resident Evil Deadly Silence. All in all, this game is a port of the original PS1 classic to the Nintendo DS. Aside from being able to play the classic game all over again, there is a new nifty version which uses the DS' unique features. As with the original game you can play as two characters, Chris or Jill, with each character having a different difficulty. Also this DS version includes a multiplayer mode in which ...
  • Pros: Better graphics than the original, some fun adaptations .
  • Cons: Sound was weak, not worth the money for a port of such an old game .

  • Excerpt: "Resident evil is a long running franchise based around survival horror and first found its footing on the PS1 over 10 years ago where it astounded audiences with its fantastic graphics, gripping game play and action packed terror. Never before had grown men been so scared of playing a game alone in a dark room as they had with the game. Many more games were introduced through the years and Resident Evil 1 was remade on the Game cube in wonderful high ...
