Radiant Historia is the 21st century's Chrono Trigger, and may be better.

Summary: Turn-based strategy, an enthralling plot, time travel mechanics as enjoyable as (or better than) Chrono Trigger's, plot twists, replay value, sidequests; these are just a few of Radiant Historia's amazing features. If there is anything I can say about this game aside from the description I just gave; it is that you should purchase it. If you enjoy classic Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, turn-based strategy, RPG's, etc...
Summary: This game is an excellent example of what made the Super Nintendo, Sega Saturn and PlayStation era so special. It is a traditional RPG quest game with very lovable characters, a deep storyline and a simple-yet-incredibly-deep combat system. Graphically, it looks amazing, like something one would play on the Sega Saturn back in the 32-bit era, with rotations, well-animated sprites, colourful settings and detailed character portraits.
Summary: I decided to give this game a go after a friend let me try it out. I was immediately intrigued within the first few minutes of playing it. Radiant Historia centers on the main character Stocke, who serves as an officer in the SpecInt department for the country of Alistel. Alistel is currently at war with Granorg due to the increasing desertification of the world. Stocke is given a mysterious item called the White Chronicle.
Summary: Radiant Historia is a masterpiece. This game is one of the best RPGs I have played in years. I picked up this game on recommendation, since it's initial release was not too loudly heralded at the game store that I go to. Atlus studios overall is releasing excellent games lately, and I have become a fan of this studio's efforts. The battle system is satisfying and fun. What is most outstanding about this game is the game writing and characterization.
And the award for Best Time Travel Usage goes to...

Summary: Quite simply this is a gem. A brilliant shining gem. Since I don't like writing full critical reviews on Amazon you'll just have to deal with some cliff notes. A great script, decent characters overall, a unique and intriguing battle system, and time travel implemented in a great way. The only gripe I have is that for a handheld game it is extremely in depth. You will feel as if it would be better served on a home console, playing it on your TV.
Traditional yet innovative RPG with an emotionally in depth story

Summary: Radiant Historia is a terrific game with traditional RPG features such as leveling up and turn based game-play, but mixes in innovative strategy in the form of a grid-based field, positioning of enemies, combos, and the switching of turns between player and enemy characters. The story is incredibly complex and involves traveling back and forth between alternate storylines where decisions in one will affect another.
