  • Excerpt: Puzzle Quest. Two of the most lucrative genres rolled into one. While it may seem incredibly bizarre- hardcore RPG elements mixed with the always casual puzzle market – Puzzle Quest is a delight. As ludicrous as it may seem, it’s a classic peanut butter and chocolate blend that’s sure to make anyone who can look past its budget presentation an addict. Puzzle Quest is, in a nutshell, Bejeweled.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

Portable Review
29 May 2007
  • Excerpt: I'll admit I wasn’t expecting a whole lot when I picked up this game. I figured it’d just be a Bejeweled clone with a few gimmicks thrown in to make it seem new and interesting. It took about ten minutes of playing for the game to prove me wrong. Puzzle quest offers a great mixture of puzzle game and RPG elements, proving to be one of the most addictive, and unexpectedly fun, DS games yet.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

ME Gamers
26 May 2007
  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is Many of us should be familiar with Bejeweled, the addictive puzzle game from a few years back. Now imagine that old game wrapped up in RPG layers where you actually have a goal; you may now find comfort in the fact that you are swapping gems for a reason . The story starts out with a typical realm in distress.

  • Excerpt: and anything at all.  And I can definitely see why:  that stupidly addictive gem game is for "casual" gamers, right?  It can't possibly be worked into something that you could sink thirty hours into - or could it?
