Apparently I don't see what everyone else sees in this

Summary: As an adult, I think this game is OK, I'd say that it's a game that is better than most. I think the drawbacks are the amount of unnecessary dialogue, lots of reading nothing pertaining to the storyline. I don't mind, I suppose it's kind of like being an investigator... but eventually, especially once you come upon a scene twice, the same conversations come up every time you tap. And then the characters have to comment 2 or 3 times about what you tap on.
Summary: CONTAINS SPOILERS: I'm a huge Professor Layton fan. I've played Curious Village, Diabolical Box, and Unwound future and found them immensely rich and engaging. The characters were likable and memorable and the story was fast-placed, humorous, exciting, and charming. The Last Specter was none of those things, in my opinion. The Last Specter is a prequel to the other three games. The story starts off with the usual. We are introduced to Emmy, the Professor's new assistant.
Summary: I have played all three previous Professor Layton games. I loved Curious Village, thought Diabolical Box was ok and adored Unwound Future. I am currently 14 hours into Last Specter and hoping it ends soon so I can play something else. I eagerly purchased this game on release day knowing it was a prequel and would learn how the Professor and Luke meet. Unfortunately, for me, the story is quite lackluster and is barely holding my attention.
Really, was this ending necessary? Especially for children??

Summary: **SPOILER ALERT!!** **SPOILER ALERT!!** **SPOILER ALERT!!** Warning!! Part of the ending will be discussed in this review!! Warning!! This game is targeted for children, the ending certainly isn't something I would want impressionable younger children to deal with, the loss of a pet can be devastating to a young child!! Does something as entertaining as the Professor Layton's series have to stoop to this level to get people to buy it?
Summary: I'm a little surprised at all the high reviews that Professor Layton and the Last Specter has received so far on Amazon. I was personally a little disappointed with the game and thought it wasn't as good as the previous two. I took my time with this game, playing a little bit every night, and I only recently finished it.
