Pros & Cons

  • on the ds, 500 pokemon to catch, good story like adventure, robust wi fi compatibility, such a brilliant game
  • i hate this part, minimal improvements, same combat, it must be purchased, newer version available

In a nutshell, this new generation of Pokémon has enough for both old and new players to keep their heads spinning with Pokémania. For those who zip through Pokémon games, you can become the League Champion in a little more than 30 hours, but it should take everybody maybe 40 or more hours to complete. Rest assured, the game isn’t anywhere close to over after the credits roll. There’s plenty more Pokémon to catch and people to save. How does it rank with the rest... Read more

What better way to get children familiar with obsessive-compulsive disorder than to give them a game where the catchphrase is "Got to catch them all" and the addictive drug of choice are cute, fuzzy creatures that do battle? Seriously though, I was a fan of the series for the first two installments and found myself watching the series every week, but this was at the prime of Pokemon fever. After having taken some time off from the franchise, the newest Diamond/Pearl has... Read more

When Nintendo released the first entries of its Pokémon series in the United States, many people were quick to dismiss the increasingly popular games as a fad. The games were, after all, accompanied by a marketing blitz including a TV show, a card game and enough toys and merchandise to smother an elementary school student. Nearly 10 years later, the initial shockwave has passed, but Pokémon is still going strong. Sure, your local anchorman isn't discussing Pikachu and... Read more

This game is amzing even though the graphics are rubbish and it is not 3d. It is an amzing game because you want to catch all the pokemon and trade them. It takes forever to complete the game (unless you cheat) and it is just great catching legendrey pokemon. Overall this game is really good. Read more

I LOVE this game!!! This game is wonderful. It has great play on wi-fi, and is a great way to stop yourself from doing nothing but twiddling your thumbs! You are a teenage boy (or girl) who comes to a lake with their friend in search of a rare Pokemon, but they meet a Pokemon professor who gives them both new Pokemon, after returning to the Sinnoh region, where the story takes place. Once the player has received their Pokemon, they start on their quest of becoming a... Read more

Well this is the first 3D Pokemon game to make onto the handheld consoles, the battles aren't 3D, but the in-battle graphics are greatly improved over its GBA counterpart. The Pokemon series has always been extremely popular, ever since it started with the almost black and white games on the original Game Boy. Ever since then, it has made its way onto every Nintendo console, the N64, GBC, GBA, DS, GameCube and the Wii. There is no doubt to how much success it has... Read more

this game is awesome for the Nintendo DS. i have been a big fan of pokemon ever since i got pokemon Red Version on the gameboy ever since that day it was getting better and better. This is an amazing franchise and is really really addicting. that is probably why so much people like it. It would be better if there were some twist to the game than it would be at the hight rank. But overall a really great game. Read more
