Summary: I purchased this game for my oldest son who is 5 yrs old but actually enjoyed it a lot myself and was quite addicted until I completed the game. My son is rather new at the DS system and was able to navigate each task easily since it guides you with an "X" for the next island to go to. He does have some difficulty sinking other ships but part of it may be my fault since I didn't want him to sink "MY SHIP" and have to start from scratch with a mere raft.
Summary: This game is very fun and has good ties to the Playmobil toys. It has great content - fun for both kids and adult gamers. I was pleasantly surprised at the length (took >10 hours to complete) and the complexity of some of the mini-games. The story is cute and keeps you entertained.
Summary: I'm a 38 year old male gamer with an 8 year old son who still enjoys his Playmobil toys. Playmobil toys have always had a soft spot in my heart because my son grew up on them, and as a parent I love them because they're sturdy, adorable, and delightfully simple while offering interesting themes and endless variety...they're a lifelong classic toy like Legos.
Summary: My son got a DS Lite for Christmas from Santa and this was the first game he bought (he received a few others from us for Christmas). We worked together as a team on the game. The game is rated for 10+, but my son is 7 and did fine with most of the missions, but needed a little help sailing to the final mission of rescuing the mermaid (lots of rocks and ships to battle). He completed the final mission and rescued the mermaid on his own and was declared a "pirate hero".
Summary: My son just got his DS for christmas and loves pirates, so we got this game. He absolutley loves it, its a fight to get him off it, i really enjoy it too. Lots of his characters from his playmobil pirates ships. Would recommened this game.
