Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney: Justice For All

AV Club
12 February 2007
  • Conclusion: A solid first sequel. As long as the stories stay cheesy and Wright's head stays spiky, there's no end in sight for this franchise.
  • Pros: Though the pace can slow down during investigations, the trials are relentless. Every cross-examination feels like it could be your last.
  • Cons: The interface is just good enough to get by, especially when you need to navigate from room to room. And you can go an hour or more without a chance to save, which doesn't encourage you to take risks.

  • Excerpt: As creepy and wrong as glorifying the courtroom process seems at first blush, the newest installment of the Phoenix Wright saga is an oddball charmer of a game. In fact, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All is, like its predecessor, a courtroom drama with a Japanese-anime sheen, well-written storylines, and a decided flair for the goofy.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All - Nintendo DS review

Pocket Lint

  • Pros: Spins a cracking yarn, fantastic script, some fantastic characters
  • Cons: No real series progression, cases just aren’t quite as entertaining as the previous game, can be wickedly frustrating
