Fun Game

Thomas H Nichols Jr, Amazon
8 March 2013
  • Summary: At this point in the game's life, multiplayer play is almost non-existant. If you do want to use that feature, check out [...] There is a community there that's still going.

A good old fashioned "dungeon crawl" type game

Jared E. Baker, Amazon
20 December 2010
  • Summary: Is the game amazing? No. Is it deep? No. Is it addicting? Kinda. Is it mindless? A bit. Is it redundant? Oh yeah. Is this all bad? Not if you want a laid back, dungeon crawl with plenty of random drops to collect. If you like the gaming formula of Diablo and Diablo II, You'll probably like this.

Good game but phantasy star portable is better.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
6 March 2010
  • Summary: This game is incredibly fun and has a lot of content. However the PSP game based on the phantasy star universe series is a superior title from what I have played. (The PSP game is much better than the PS2 game so if you played Universe and did not like it give it a chance.

One of the best online DS games!

Eon Fontes May "Professional Role Model", Amazon
29 January 2010
  • Summary: I had never played the previous PSO incarnations, but I was curious about this game. It's ridiculously fun and addictive, and has kept me entertained for WAY too many hours. Unlike other RPGs, this is definitely NOT a story-based game.

A good game, but nothing earth-shattering.

Joseph Harter "Joe", Amazon
16 December 2009
  • Summary: It's a fun diversion, and the online multiplayer is addictive, but it does get a bit repetitive in solo mode. There's lots of options for customizing your character and weapons. The story is shallow and asinine, but the story isn't really the point of a game like this.

Pretty darn good!

D. Bisciglia "Swerd Murd", Amazon
7 December 2009
  • Summary: I was pleasantly surprised! I got it due to wanting something for the DS that was online and somewhat large in scope--what I got was a great single-player story as well! The frequent use of short anime sequences goes a long way in conveying an interesting story, and like any game with character...

The true successor to PSO

Twilight Sea, Amazon
14 November 2009
  • Summary: I will put it nice and simple. Phantasy Star 0 is the true spiritual successor to the original Phantasy Star Online (hereafter known as PSO) that debuted on the Dreamcast and later ported over to the Gamecube, Xbox consoles and the PC version Blue Burst.

Back to basics

S. Walker "starwarsdave", Amazon
1 August 2010
  • Summary: After spending countless hours on the GameCube release of Phantasy Star Online I was a little disappointed with the PSP game Phantasy Star Portable (although 2 looks much better). Then this came along and it just felt right. You can play online with random people WITHOUT the need for friend codes.

Phantasy Start Zero!

Random Spawn, Amazon
1 August 2010
  • Summary: This game is going to apeal to fans of the Phantasy Star franchise more than your average gamer... this is a great shame, For those who have played Phantasy Star Online you will be right at home here, but for those new to the game, Phantasy Star Zero is a free to play multiplayer online game similar...
