Summary: This is a really fun game to play, but I got stuck in putting coins into a display case. I found the coins, but in trying to put them in the case, it just didn't work. If you just want a couple of hours of play before this hidden object scenario, buy it, but if you want to finish it, don't. I could even get help on the internet.
Summary: I really don't like this game at all. As as avid player of the Professor Layton series I bought this game a few years back thinking that it would be something similar, the title seemed good and the screenshots of the game looked interesting. I couldn't be more wrong! As many others have said, it is very boring, dull and with no story line, with very repetitive play. The taps do not always register and you just end up frustrated and wanting to put the DS down.
Summary: I love the puzzle-type Nintendo games and had had great fun with the first of the Professor Layton series (The Mysterious Village), which I found very addictive and satisfying. I thought Mystery Stories would be something similar but was very disappointed. It was so boring, frustrating and repetitive that I didn't bother to complete it, but gave it away (to a 9-year-old) having resisted the temptation to put it in the dustbin! Long live Professor Layton!
Summary: You have scenes and a list of items you have to find. Even when you have found the object you sometimes have to click on the item a few times before the game reckonises the fact that you have found a perticular item. I found the game really boring....
Summary: Unfortunately this has to be one of the most boring games I have ever played! I was very disappointed with it and found it a waste of money. The game is very dull as every level is the effectively the same thing making the game very dull. Basically you are given a list of say 15 items or so and you've to find them and click on them. That's it! I wish I was lieing but I'm not! I definitely wouldn't recommend this game to anyone.
Summary: I was very disappointed with this game and found it quite boring! I finished it quite quickly, despite the game being mind numbingly repetitive - I just wanted to get it completed. The dialogue is boring and I didnt even read it, just kept tapping the screen to move on. I will not buy another game by GSP, I foolishly bought the Titanic one too and was again disappointed.
Utter rubbish......save your money for something better.

Summary: I am a fan of the DS stylus type game and have played quite a few but this was has to be the worst game I have ever encountered. If I could have given zero stars I would have done. There is no discernible storyline, the graphics are awful so much so that when you have found something although it disappears off your inventory it still looks like it is on the screen.
Summary: As I had so enjoyed both Professor Laytons, my daoughter-in-law gave me Mystery Stories for Christmas. It is just dreadful. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to work out which are the objects you are requested to find, as the picture quality is so poor that many of the "objects" are merely indeterminate blobs and you end up tapping mindlessly with the stylus, which gives you time penalties, but what the heck?
