  1. Fun for compulsive screen-pokers

A degree of lateral thought is required as well, as some objects need to be manipulated (cut in half, smashed, opened) and others have cryptic descriptions. There’s a bit of mic-based fun too, as you blow out fires to get to things hidden behind the flames. For such a simple idea this is oddly compulsive, but beware: the old DS’s dark-o-matic screen makes finding things trickier than it should be. Get a Lite, man. Read more

At first glance, Nintendo's Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir looks like it may be fun for the type of people that like Phoenix Wright or Hotel Dusk. Don't be mistaken: this game is not really about mysteries. Rather, this game is a series of simple challenges, like finding items in drawings and putting together 12-piece jigsaw puzzles. While this is the series' first appearance on a Nintendo system, developer Big Fish Games has been releasing installments for years on... Read more

What you get in Mystery Case File: MillionHeir is the kind of game that would appeal to anyone who spends time on the train completing spot the difference puzzles, Sudoko puzzles or word searches. Hardcore gamers are advised to stay well clear unless they're partial to something simple to wile away time, but the Brain Training crowd should lap this up. A more taxing challenge that required real thought and detective work would have been preferable, but MillionHeir does... Read more

Ostensibly an effort to capitalize on the now-in-vogue "casual" games demand, Nintendo and Big Fish (the biggest names in their respective fields) have joined forces to bring Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir to the Nintendo DS. MillionHeir places the player in the role of a detective from the Mystery Case Files agency. The task at hand is to discover what happened to deceased millionaire Phil T. Rich, and to whom his vast fortune should be bestowed. Read more

Mystery Case Files: Millionheir is a very fun game for the Nintendo DS, Nintendo is releasing it as part of their Touch Generations series, along with games like Brain Age. The game follows a story, and the gameplay plays like I spy, you search around rooms for clues, with a list of things to find. Some items are fairly obvious to there location, but others are quite hard to find. I had to use a couple hints myself. The only downside for me is the length, I think the... Read more

i read a lot of really good reviews, and since i’m a big fan of the ace attorney series and professor layton i expected a lot. the thing is: 90% of the time you look for hidden items in, lets say 15 or so, different rooms. thats it! it’s like "Where’s Wally?" but instead of looking for wally only you look for evidence like bottles or vases, that help the detective, you’re playing, solve the crime. but instead of combining those yourself to find out who the... Millionheir case file is a game which requires people to search crime scenes for clues and you have a set time in order to do it in. You are presented with a crime scene and usually this scene is just the basic mess you might find and you are told a story but on the side you are given a long list of items to find and sometimes they put double of each item down to find. You will learn as time goes on that the items might not always be what they seem because some of the... Read more

If you remember and liked the magazine Highlights than you'll enjoy this game. It's definitely not action packed, but it's pretty addictive. The game consists of hidden images that you must find to solve the mystery of the MillionHeir. That's pretty much the gist of the entire game. If you like doing puzzles like that then buy buy buy. But if you are more into shooting and RPG...this game is not for you. Read more
