Summary: I bought this because I played a Myst game many years ago, I hope that it would be as good, but it's kind of slow and it feels old. I usually don't mind the "old feel" in games, is just that being a 3DS game it could have incorporated something more. Good puzzles, as most Myst games have.
Summary: I played this game on a 3DO in the 90's and really liked it. For some reason didn't keep it. So despite all I've read, I picked this game up. To start with I played it on a 3DS XL - which helped greatly. I played Myst on my 3DS and this is one of the best computer adventures money can buy! Myst was crafted to tell a story and provide a smooth, exciting experience. This version is exactly like the 3DO version I played way back when and YES - IT IS IN 2D.
Summary: My husband loved the pc game when it came out years ago. When I found out it was on DS, I had to get it for him. One of my concerns was if it was any different than the pc version. After reading about it on various websites, I thought it may be indeed different. However, husband said it was pretty much the same. He did love playing it again, though, and I am very happy I purchased it.
Summary: The game itself is great, it has a mysterious almost spooky atmosphere to it and the ending is truly not what you expect it to be. However, I feel that they could've spent some more time fine-tuning the controls. The magnifying glass was hard to handle and moving switches was also quite difficult on the DS's small screen. I'm also disappointed that this version is simply Myst Masterpiece Edition on the DS rather than realMyst (which is where the bonus age came from).
Loved the Original, but screens are too small for the DS version.

Summary: I actually remember playing the original Myst shortly after it came out for PC - Myst was one of the first Multimedia games with motion video. All the images are here just like the original, unfortunately they're too small to see. There is a feature to magnify, but when trying to see the star constellations for the Ship puzzle it still does not help. To be honest, I did not play the DS version in its entirety. In part, because I found the game was just too retro...
Summary: I love Myst. I have been a fan for over a decade now and have played all of the Myst games. However, this is the first time that I have played it on a platform other than my PC. While the game is great and the play on the DS with the stylus is fun, I am disappointed with the graphics. I know, hard to believe when refering to Myst, but there it is. The pictures are fuzzy and are not as clear as on the PC.
Summary: For a challenging and visually amazing video game, you can't do better than the Myst series. I played this years ago on my PC and absolutely loved it. The game is completely immersive, difficult even for skilled puzzle-solvers, and beautiful to boot. Like everyone else, I was excited to find a pocket-sized version of this beloved game. Unfortunately, the game does not translate well to the DS at ALL.
Summary: When I first heard that Myst was coming out for DS, I was ecstatic. Quicktime is the worst media software I have ever experienced, and Myst is still getting buggier by the minute as new OS's come out for the PC (thanks Apple, once again). I pre-ordered the game and all that was left was to wait. Since I had played the game before, I pretty much knew the general feel and most of the solutions to the puzzles.
Summary: I love the Myst series...I've read the books and I've played all the PC games. When i saw it was coming out for the DS, I was psyched! I've been playing it for the past few days, and I've got to say, I'm disappointed. Glitches abound in this game! My DS has locked up a number of times, the screen freezes up or blacks out...I mean, the game play is good and all, but the glitches make it a nuisance to play.
