Summary: For whatever reason, I had this game on my wishlist for some time. I finally broke down and purchased it and am thrilled that I did! My only regret? Having waited so long. I love hidden object games and am a bit picky on ones that really catch my attention and keep it. Murder in Venice definitely has caught and held my attention.
Summary: Murder in Venice pulled me in from the first scene. The story is easy to follow and the incorporation of the hidden object scenes often added to the story line. The characters are stereotypical, but the graphics are great. I liked the addition of minigames as a welcome change from looking for hidden objects. Getting a high score on the minigames was very challenging. I enjoyed the added challenge of finding chess pieces in all the scenes to earn an award.
Summary: This is an awesome game. There are typical hidden object screens with interesting and new minigames. My vision is not that great (20/40 with an uncorrected astigmatism) and I had little trouble finding the items eventually. It is not too difficult and not too easy. The story makes sense, but "talk" scenes are not ridiculously long. This is one of the most enjoyable HOG's I've ever played.
Summary: I like this game a lot so far, I have not played many "story" type games, this is my first, I am not far into it, but I am 37 years old and it is holding my attention when I do play it. It also saves your place, which a couple others I bought do not....but good graphics, I have been to Venice, so that was part of the attraction. I recommend it.
Summary: I REALLY ENJOYED THIS GAME. WHEN I FINISHED THE GAME I PLAYED IT OVER AGAIN. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT IT WAS THAT YOU ONLY HAD ROOM FOR ONE PROFILE. I LIKE TO PLAY UNDER MORE THAN ONE PROFILE AND I ALSO LIKE TO SHARE THE GAME WITH FRIENDS. I HAVE TO DELETE MY PROFILE TO DO THIS.
Summary: This is a "best of both worlds" puzzle game, as far as I'm concerned. The plot actually makes sense, AND the game itself is fun and interesting. It's a really short play (I finished the main story version in a couple hours), but I've replayed it three or four times since then and still gotten a lot out of it. What really takes it over the top is the extra stuff: the minigames!
Summary: Hidden object games aren't my favorite genre (just once in a while), but this one was really good. I just finished playing this one through. If I had reviewed it when I first started, I probably would have given a lower rating, but the game gets better as you go along. After I finished this, my first thought was to try and find more games like this. The story line is interesting.
Summary: The graphics in this game are amazing. The game and storyline move along extremely well. I gave this five stars because: 1. Graphics 2. Doesn't freeze 3. Doesn't self save every other screen (really annoying in some games) 4. Was interesting and fun 5. Didn't feel like another me too search and find game I had no expectation levels of this game since it was new and fairly cheap but was impressed with the clarity and beautiful images.
