There's not much to say about Mr. Driller's story. Basically, you dig. Just as your ancestors before you did, you dig. What is the purpose of said digging? There really isn't one. You just do. With that said, let's get to what really draws me to the game - the inability to put it down. To be blunt, I love this game. It's not pretty or a great technological achievement. It doesn't boast great artificial intelligence or even a need for it. What it does possess is that... Read more
The DS has a number of puzzle games available at launch, with Polarium probably being the pick of the bunch. Mr. DRILLER comes off as a game that doesn't really utilize the console's potential, but the core gameplay is good enough for that not to matter. If you are solely looking for a puzzle title makes good use of the DS's Touch Screen, then this might not be for you, but the lack of original Touch Screen ideas aside, this is a top notch puzzler. The second, not the minute, but the second I started playing Mr Driller: Drill Spirits on the NDS I felt a mix of emotions that more or less cancelled each other out, leaving me in a state of equilibrium. I mean, the whole idea of buying something is so that you get to play with it and show it off; it’s supposed to be exciting until you get bored of it. I was really excited about giving the multiplayer a go but since no one else I knew owned the game, I couldn't play it since it requires 2 cartridges to play. I enjoyed the strategy aspect in the beginning while you try to figure out how to survive but gradually it becomes like any other puzzle type game. I still enjoy it occasionally but it's not the same level of addiction I had with it originally. Read more

After hearing some many good things about this game, I thought I was in for a treat. Sure, I don't play action puzzle games that often, but I like to play them every once in a while. This was no action puzzle game. Instead, this was the game that ... Read more
I loved this game and found it really easy and simple to play. Its a game my children could very happily play without getting stuck every two minutes. The concept of the game is simple, you pick a character, who is your 'driller', there are a few to choose from and each one has its own 'specialities'. You are then sent to drill! Its all about drilling as far down as you can get, the further down you get, the better your score. Along the way, you have to avoid getting... Read more
